Cookie Policy

On this website, we use cookies and similar technologies that store and retrieve information when you browse. These technologies can serve various purposes—for example, recognizing you as a user, obtaining browsing data for statistical purposes, or remembering your preferences (such as language)—and, where appropriate, displaying content tailored to your interests. The legal basis for the use of all non-technical cookies is your consent, which you can grant, refuse, or configure in detail at any time from the Cookie Settings panel available in the footer. This policy follows the guidelines of the AEPD (Guide on the use of cookies, May 2024) regarding transparency, layered information, and valid consent (Accept and Reject buttons, with no pre-selected options)

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file that is downloaded to your device when you access certain websites. Among other things, they allow a website to store and retrieve information about the browsing habits of a user or their computer. Some cookies are technical (necessary for the functioning of the site) and are exempt from obtaining consent; the rest require your prior and explicit authorization.

Who uses cookies?

First-party cookies: served by this domain (www.cognodata.com) and used for technical, security, consent, and preference purposes.

Third-party cookies: served by external providers (e.g., Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Yandex Metrica, Wordfence, WP Cerber, and Polylang) for analysis, security, or personalization. In this policy, we indicate the main third parties and their purposes.

Notes

– Cookies marked as Necessary are installed because they are essential for the operation, security, or management of consent and do not require authorization. The rest (Functional/Analytical) are blocked until you give your consent in the banner or in the settings panel.

– In the case of third-party cookies, these providers may transfer data internationally (e.g., to the US or other countries). You can consult their policies to find out about the transfer mechanisms (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, etc.).

How can you configure or reject cookies?

Configuration panel: you can accept, reject, or configure cookie categories at any time via the “Cookie settings” link located in the footer. Rejection will have the same level and visibility as acceptance, and your selection will be saved without any pre-checked boxes in favor of acceptance

Browser: You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. These are the most common paths:

Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
Firefox: Settings → Privacy & security → Cookies and site data.
Safari (macOS/iOS): Preferences/Settings → Privacy → Manage website data.
Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.

If you accept third-party cookies and later wish to delete them, you must do so from your browser options or from the systems enabled by the third parties themselves.

Additional information on consent and updates

We display the information in layers: a first notice with Accept, Reject, and Configure options, and a second layer with technical details.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

We periodically review the list of cookies to keep it up to date; if substantial changes are made (new purposes or third parties), we will inform you in a visible manner and, if necessary, we will request your consent again.

Personal data and rights

When cookies involve the processing of personal data, we apply the GDPR and the LOPDGDD: you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and portability in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If we are unable to identify you, we may request additional information or reject the request under the terms of Article 12.2 of the GDPR.

How to uninstall or delete all cookies

In addition to the panel and browser settings, you can:

  • Clear your history (including cookies and site data) from your browser settings.
  • Private browsing or blockers: use private browsing modes or extensions that block third-party cookies.
  • Mobile devices: on iOS and Android, you can clear browsing data from Browser Settings or System Settings → Privacy.

If you have any questions about this cookie policy, its configuration, or how we apply your choice, please contact us through the means indicated in the Legal Notice and/or Privacy Policy.
